Gilmore Winter Workshop class with special guest instructor Matt Murray (Boyertown, PA), hot rod builder and host of the Iron Trap Garage YouTube channel. This class will focus on Sheet Metal Fabrication, Patch Panels, Metalshaping, and MIG/TIG Welding.
The Gilmore Winter Workshop series provides one-day tech education classes for beginners, hobbyists, enthusiasts on a variety of topics across auto repair, restoration, and hot rodding, including content on tools, techniques, materials, pro tips, tricks and demonstrations.
Each Winter Workshop class runs Saturday morning from 9:00am – 2:00pm in the Gilmore Garage Works building, lunch will be brought in from the museum café at 12:00pm (hot dogs, chips, sodas), then students can tour the museum and galleries from 2:00pm – 5:00pm.
Capacity is limited – maximum 30 students per class. Tickets must be purchased online in advance -- no walk-ups permitted.
By order of Michigan’s governor, all museum visitors age 5 and over are required to wear a face mask in all indoor spaces, and in outside venues at any posted “mask required” areas or any time social distancing of 6’ cannot be maintained at any area of the museum.
