TODAY'S LECTURE:

"The Hackett Automobile Museum - A History" by Ted O'Dell, Founder & Executive Director

The under-told story of Jackson, Michigan - America’s Original Car Capital.

In an age where many car museums are going out of business… the Hackett Auto Museum is a new museum and event venue being created in Jackson, Michigan.

Onetime home to a documented thirty-three car manufacturers, this presentation will give the viewer an understanding of the vision and passion behind the creation of the “Hackett Auto Museum” its preservation, restoration and the history.

The presentation will share some basic information about early industrialist and automotive titans Charles H. Lewis, Benjamin Briscoe, Byron J. Carter, Horace Mansell Hackett and the men behind the marketing and manufacturing of many of the now orphaned automobiles to come out of Jackson, Michigan.

The Gilmore Car Museum’s annual Winter Lecture Series is highly anticipated every year! Every Sunday afternoon at 3 pm January through April visitors can enjoy a different guest presenter speaking on a variety of intriguing topics. Admission to each lecture FREE for members, included in general admission and is just $5/person if you're only coming to take in the Lecture!
