Museum Awarded Grant From Michigan Humanities

LANSING, MI — Michigan Humanities announces $203,101 in grants to 16 Michigan organizations in support of public humanities programming. The Gilmore Car Museum was awarded $3,850 for the educational program titled Birth of the Automobile: Horse-drawn Buggy to Horseless Carriage.  1909 Holsman in the Museum’s collection The educational department will work with a  small team of participants, both on site and at select schools, to transform a horse-drawn buggy into a gasoline-powered horseless carriage which resembles a 1909 Holsman High Wheel motor buggy.…

Ultimate Truck Show

Trucks of all kinds: Vintage, Military, Special Interest and Custom Trucks as well as all Emergency Vehicles are welcome at the Gilmore Car Museum’s Ultimate Truck Show and Swap Meet to be held on Saturday, June 22nd. The one-day family event runs from 9am to 4pm and is open to all Trucks including pickups, commercial trucks, fire trucks, and semi tractors—thus the name Ultimate Truck show.…
