Drag racing got John Lacko started in photography during the summer of 1965. Since then, John has had the opportunity to photograph a variety of motor sports and automotive events. On April 6th, as part of the Gilmore Car Museum’s Spring Speaker Series, John will be showing and talking about his favorite photos of drag racing, NASCAR, Trans Am, Can Am, Indy cars, and more, taken over the last 50 years.
The nine week Gilmore Speaker Series is open to the public and covers a variety of subjects. Each of the Sunday afternoon presentations begin at 3 pm and are only $5 each per person, or free with regular museum admission. The lectures are appropriate for all ages and guests are encouraged attend those that interest them most. No registration is required and walk-ins are welcome.
