Gilmore Speaker Series
From Prius to Ferrari – Driving Your Car on the Track
Sunday March 16 - 3 p.m. in the Heritage Theater
Free with Museum Admission – or $5/Lecture
A local road-course driving instructor, Brad Pines has helped numerous racers shave seconds off their lap times by stressing smoothness in car control. He started instructing with his Miata, and now instructs with a Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, Audi R-8 and other super cars. On March 16th, as part of the Gilmore Car Museum’s Spring Speaker Series, Mr. Pines’ will cover driving tips (sorry, without the supercars), including how to be smooth and safe on the track, and how to prepare a car for track sessions at venues such as the GingerMan Raceway, near South Haven, MI.
The nine week Gilmore Speaker Series is open to the public and covers a variety of subjects. Each of the Sunday afternoon presentations begin at 3 pm and are only $5 each per person, or free with regular museum admission. The lectures are appropriate for all ages and guests are encouraged attend those that interest them most. No registration is required and walk-ins are welcome.
