Celebrating the First 50 years of the Automobile!
Join us for 2nd Annual Donald Gilmore Pre-1942 Driving Tour that is open to all Pre-1942 Vehicles, just like the cars Museum Founder Donald Gilmore was known for collecting. Only original stock vehicles will be eligible to participate, no modified or hot rod style vehicles please. Saturday the 20th will be the Pre-1942 show!
The Driving Tour will gather and stage at the Museum at 9:00 am and depart at 9:30 am on Friday, May 19th. This year we will be heading south with two routes – one for the earliest cars (under 30 miles round trip) and the second about 92 miles round trip. We travel into Three counties, Three villages, visiting a Vintage Ford Dealership, a Historic Mill, and drive across Michigan’s Longest Remaining Covered Bridge. We stop at at a Historic Village and Farm Market and return to the Museum’s 1941 Diner.
